Skate Journeys is an inline skate school which was built upon the belief, first and foremost, that learning to skate is a great way to create a fun and fit community. Secondly, we believe that learning to skate is a great way for all ages to expand the senses, push balance limits and learn to live life just a little differently. We endeavor to give skaters the tools they need to be successful. Our students claim that the school has helped them to increase their self esteem, increased their social community and made fitness fun.our students comprise of about 60% adults and 50% kids. Our instructors teach new skaters how to skate with confidence, and the experienced skaters new skills. Our classes are offered year round at Bellevue Skate King Roller Rink and outdoors in better weather in King County locales such as Seattle, Redmond, Issaquah & Woodinville.
For our Beginners we offer beginning skate classes every Saturday and Sunday 45 weeks a year at Bellevue Skate King Roller Rink (Driving Directions). We also offer them in other locales in the Spring and Summer. See the navigation buttons on the right for all the details. For those who may be confused about the difference between "inline skates" and "rollerblades," note that Rollerblade is a brand name, but the sport is actually called Inline Skating and rollerblades are actually called inline skates. As to our favorite brand, Skate Journeys is proud to be sponsored by K2 Skates.
What if you already know how to skate? Trust us on this one: self taught skaters will find our school challenging and exciting as we insure you have excellent foundation skills and then build on your talents. We offer a myriad of skating disciplines: Marathon Training; Roller Fitness; Ski Conditioning; Freestyle Slaloms; Artistic skating; Indoor Race and others. Try one class and you will see that with 10 levels of lessons, we can both challenge you and encourage you to skate beyond your current level. The most common comment from self taught skaters who come to the school: I could not have conceived of what was possible.
Camps for Kids and Grown Ups We are pleased to offer a variety of skate camps throughout the year for the beginner skater and for the more advanced. We have kids only, adult only and combined camps. Our skate camps have both indoor and outdoor locations. We also teach camps for several area schools. See our camps page to find the one which is just right for you!
BRAND New Students Always Welcome
What if you have never been on skates? Welcome to the school! Over 50% of our students are brand new to skating. Join them for a fun and exciting class.
What if you can skate but can't stop? Welcome to the school! An inability to stop with control is the number one reason why those who can already skate decide to take a lesson. Join us and learn how to stop and thus to skate anywhere with confidence. Caution: you might learn a few more skate moves!
At Skate Journeys we have a staff of 21 instructors who teach a variety of levels to meet the students needs. Our Beginner series B1, 2, 3, & 4 offers each student a chance to progress at his or her own rate. Once you have mastered those classes, join us for our Advanced series: Intermediates and Advanced 1, 2, & 3. For Kids we offer Kids B1, 2, 3, & 4. Some of our kids are so good they take our upper level advanced adult classes.

Bonjour a tous! Greetings from Paris.
Arrived safely and sleepy. Two cafe au lait, a Nicoise Salad, a baguette and some fish entree with lots of sauce later it's time for bed. We've only been up about 40+ hours so my apologies for the brevity of the message.
Trail classes are happening tonight, but don't email me to attend, just show up!
---Saturday we have regular classes, so come join us.
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and grandmothers, aunts and other women who bring good things to their families and friends.
---We will be CLOSED on Sunday (only Sunday) Mothers Day (May 11th). On Mother's Day I'll be skating with 5,000 of my closest skater friends. Mom would have loved that.
---We are open the following weekend on both Saturday and Sunday May 17 and 18.
I'll put together an email of travels on skates soon.
Later, skaters, truly wish you were here,
Trish Alexander
